Children’s Corner Learning Center is a nonprofit that was established in 1971 by a group of community members who saw a need to provide quality childcare. Children’s Corner began in some rented space from Faith Lutheran Church.  From there we moved to the Salvation Army building, and, in the late 1970s, we moved into the former convent at Our lady of Victory Church where we remained for the next 15 years . In 1995, remodeling was completed on our  childcare center located on West Everett Ave. In April 2021 we relocated to our most recent home inside Lincoln School.

In June of 2010 we were able to expand our offering to the Perham community. We are located within the Perham Living building and enjoy inter-generational activities with the residents there.  This site was recently remodeled and has provided us the opportunity to offer care for many additional children in the Perham community.

Children’s Corner is a full day childcare program where we focus on making learning fun!  The entire Center was built for the children!  Your child will have opportunities to make new friends, explore, play outdoors, build, paint, color, cut, glue, create, sing, listen to stories, learn new games, and do what children do best – learn through their play! 

 

Each teacher follows a theme or concept that is of interest to the children.  Each theme is integrated into all areas of the curriculum. Activities are designed to promote your child’s emotional, intellectual, social, and physical growth.  The teachers will write newsletters to keep you informed about what is happening in your child’s class. Children’s Corner supports a play-based curriculum and learning environment.

 

Children’s Corner has a preschool program built right in.  If your child is here for childcare, he or she will get preschool as well.  No more running all over town!  Everything is offered at one place!
